Need advice asap, nexplanon

okay so I got nexplanon in January, for those who dont know it's a small matchstick sized rod that gets implanted in your arm; its birth control. anyways i got it and everything was fine at first, well now i am constantly on my period, i do not get a break for even a day. Nexplanon mimics the effects of pregnancy so i try not to let certain things bug me & with the never ending period I try and reason that i'm not pregnant, but i have sometimes stringy brown discharge that i cant explain and has never happened in this form or quantity, i woke up for nearly a month straight nauseous as hell but that was about two months ago, i need some kind of advice or some kind of knowledge as to whats going on, why, and if its normal. please dont be rude and tell me to go to the doctors i no longer have insurance and i dont have the money for visits

Not saying this to be rude, but seeing a medical professional would be a far better choice than asking this website. Have you seen what you would qualify for under the ACA (if you're American)?

Of course she's American. Otherwise she wouldn't have to get her medical information from IIN because she can't afford proper healthcare.

  • I have tried some different birth control that limit you to 4 periods a year. I always bled non stop with those. I've also had friends have the same issues. I don't know if this is accurate or true but it is what I have been told the brown/red discharge is old blood. Again I don't know if that is true or not.

    • Also I wanted to add that if you don't have insurance go to your local health department. They charge based on a sliding scale. Your reactions to your birth control may or may not be normal for you body so it is best to get that looked at to be safe.

is it normal to be thinking how it would be if a dude got that nex-plgsbhj thing implanted into his arm?

Yeah, in his short arm. Would plug it up so not only be fulla s--t, he'd have fluid retention too.
