Al Capone died because he had a STD and wouldn't take a vaccine or any medicine that involved needles. He was just too frightened of them.
Capone was no sissy.
It's normal.
You're not a 'sissy' at all. Films and books can have an effect on what you are scared of. But, in reality, that is not going to happen to you and if you have to have a needle in you at the doctors, it's totally safe.
I've never seen it the first one was bad enough. Needles don't bother me if I don't watch.
It is not even scary! Ya the first one was a little creepy but the rest are trash :|
1- whoever mentioned Al Capone... Let's be friends : )
2- personally the saw movies freak me out quite bad too. Is anyone else a little afraid that, that shit might give some killer ideas?? I mean I was once an IV drug user and now I'm always a little afraid I might end up in the fucking needle pit too! Just like in the movie.
needles is my fear. but i am learning to watch the nurse/doctors stick it in my skin... looking at it causes no pain.. not looking at it causes you to think about it and feel it.. i am still scared of it.
were you scared of needles before watching Saw2? Next time at the hosp. watch then stick it into your skin...
that saw 2 scene was pretty crazy and fears are ALWAYS normal btw. just take it like its nothing but a little pinch, like it really is
I saw that part too... There is no reason to be afraid of needles, if you just focus on something else ittl go away
Saw movies make people's skin crawl.
The needle pit was tapping into a very normal and common fear people have.
The best advice I can give you is..
try your best to stay healthy so you
won't need extra shots, but get ones you do need.
Be brave, eventually your fear will go away.
Don't feel bad, at least you have a reason why you're scared of needles. I'm scared of them all on my own. I recently had to have surgery and the nurse seriously had to hold my hand while they took a blood sample. She was very very sympathetic, as she said it's very common for patients to have needle phobias, plus I am petite and have large eyes like a little kid. I'm sure I looked pathetic ;)
