My view on the world

I hear people put alot of trust in the government they want it to control everything like healthcare, take the guns, regulate everything, even some say they should take private property from people. People make fun of me when I say mandatory vaccine laws is a terrible idea because you give the government the power to inject you with whatever they want. To me it all boils down to other people believe that those in power do actually share our best interests at heart. And me personally I feel humans are terrible by nature. I do not trust giving government so much power because the government is ran by people and in my opinion people are inherently evil.

Even if things run good for a while and you have good leaders. Isnt it just a matter of time until you get evil people running the government? This has happened basically every single time throughout history.

When I read the history of great empires its always a loop of this happening. When there are many freedoms things are booming and quality of life obviously improves. Eventually the government becomes tyrannical and bad things happen to the people, mass taxation, poverty, eventually uprisings and mass executions, general paranoia from leaders due to instability caused from the government holding an iron grip on everything. This cycle happened many times throughout Romes history and many forms of government. Rome flourished more than ever when it was a republic. When it went back things got bad quickly.

People do not operate well as individuals.

Society and "peoplekind"** only moved ahead when individuals worked together which means that you have to agree to group rules and compromise.

Governments are nothing more than the people who run the largest groups. If they are structured right and the leaders are caring of the people - they serve the people very well. If not, they do not.

However, another truth is that governments tend to be inefficient at doing a lot of tasks that need to do it. Private businesses tend to do some things more efficient than government. At the same time there is no way a private business can provide some services such as transportation infrastructure, the courts, etc.

It's all about where you draw the line on what the government does and how the leaders are selected.

** The word "mankind" was adopted into English from German and is gender neutral based German language roots and structure. Of course people who only focus on modern English find that concept unacceptable: Thus "peoplekind"

I don't think people trust the government just because they think these things should happen. They think that healthcare would be better being run by the government than by corporations, and that banning guns would save a lot of lives. Also vaccines are easily testable by any scientist, and they'd be able to tell if they're for other purposes than the government claim. So there's no danger of the government injecting us with anything bad (what would they inject us with anyway?). The same people asking for all this are usually the same ones saying that the government should be more transparent and that money shouldn't be allowed in politics, for the exact reason that people are easily corruptible.

    • Basically I just believe humans are awful. I think people on the left and right like to assume we've come so far in the world where people will genuinely look out for each other. I believe people will always end up looking after their own interests at the end of the day.

I think alot of the libertarian views are unreasonable I believe you do need government I just dont believe in giving them all the power to completely regulate our lives which is what they're doing.

Libertarians dont want to eliminate goverment. We just want to minimize it to base functions; military, organized police, firefighting, EMS. The regulation can be cut way back.

What your are thinking are anarchists that want no goverment. The biggest oxymoron out there is communist anarchy.
