My uncle flosses his teeth in public...iin?

When I'm watching TV with my Dad and Uncle, I notice he flosses on the couch. I don't say anything but when we're out of the house he also does this. He always flosses nearly 24/7 but yesterday was the most extreme. When I went grocery shopping with my Dad and Uncle the other day, I noticed he took out his floss while he was holding the cart. I thought okay, not a huge deal but then while he's picking up the items on the shelves, he's flossing with the other hand and he DID NOT STOP at all!! I'm talking maybe an hour goes by and he's still flossing and picking up the items to put in the cart! My Dad was helping a bit too but my Uncle does most of the shopping in our house. So my uncle then goes up to the cash register and he still has the floss in his teeth!!!

    OCD + Maybe he's trying to prevent gum disease.

    Gross... Could he be trying to set a supposedly go example or is he just obsessed? Scared that he will lose his teeth and now he obsessively flosses them, like a thong does to a butt crack?
