My teeth are yellowish no matter what i do, please help.

No matter what I do or what I use, my teeth are yellowish. I am rather jealous of people on television and people in public for having whiter teeth but my are always yellowish. I drink way too much soda but I don't want to cut down as its diet and thats the only thing I do wrong. I don't smoke nor do I drink alcohol and live my life pretty honestly.

Any advice would be helpful. I have started gargling with Hydrogen Perocide but it's too early to see if it is working.

Common elements of tooth discolouration includes drinking beverages such as coffee, soda and wine. These materials get into the enamel of your teeth and can cause long-term teeth discolouration. Read more here http://blog.netmeds.com/yellow_teeth/

Most diet sodas are extremely dangerous due to artificial Sweeteners. For your sake, you SHOULD cut it out and go with a natural/organic diet soda. Get a toothpaste that has Xylitol. Avoid toothpaste with ingredients like artificial sweeteners and SLS.

Hey! Someone like me! I was born with a yellow tint on my teeth. I had a incident where at the dentist, after a thurow cleaning, they polished my teeth. They where increadibly shiney yellow. AFTER THE CLEANING!!! I almost cryed and blamed them for my yellow teeth. The Dentist took me aside and told me that my yellowness of my teeth was not from lack of brushing but because that "is" the tint of my teeths colour. I was mortifyed. He said he could bleach it, but it costs alot, is horrible for your teeth, and there is no garantee that my teeth wont go back to a yellowish tint. He also told me that there would be a possibility that if my teeth began to become yellow again that it would be more prominant. So i dont know what to say except. Embrace the yellow teeth. You may have been born with it. But if you want to do whiter try whitning strips. But do nothing by yourself that isn't safe. You want whiter teeth, save up money and go to the dentist to get it that way. Hope this helps.YOUR NOT ALONE...

haha keep clear of the bleach. I want to do something about mine too, I didn't brush enough as a child and I hate flossing, it makes my gums bleed. I just dont want to spent money on shit that doesn't work, and it costs thousands to professionally whiten them at the dentists

It's normal to not have shiny ''pearly'' white teeth naturaly. Coffe, soda, wine and dark fruit juice like grape will stain your teeth.

''Naturally'' teeth aren't white like snow. OF course it's not supposed to be yellow like craft cheese either!

Just brush your teeth, use floss and rinse everytime you eat and you will have ''good'' looking teeth.

Honestly I don't mind if someone doesn't have bright white teeth as long as they have an apparently ''healthy'' mouth and good breath.

I have your exact same problem. My teeth are slightly yellowish instead of that nice pearly white. I floss, brush twice and day and rinse with scope, but nothing works. I see people on TV and say, "Man, I wish I had shiny white teeth like that."

do you drink milk or eat alot of cheese? too much calcium will make your teeth appear yellow. or if you brush too much you could have worn down your enamel and your dentin is showing through, which is yellowish in color.

I agree with tyger. Gross. Bud, why doesn't it surprise me that your teeth are brown? Vom.

  • Yeah. Have you ever tried using baking soda on with your toothpaste? After my friend got her braces off she used it and her teeth are really white! It's worth a shot.

Baking soda does wonders! After your teeth are white, after drinking a soda, brush. Coffee usually stains even worse than smoking.

YO GUYS! you know why these whiten? They are strongly enough acidic/alkaline to burn the dirt off. Now you seriously have to start worrying about acid erosion. And swallow that, you get into a whole world of hurt.

Just put up with it- movie stars get the bloody things polished. do you look like a film star? No. Should you? No. They're a load of stuck-up robotic morons who haven't got the faintest idea of what looks nice; they just sit in the makeup chair every morning and let them make them look 'perfect'.

My sister did the peroxide and she said it worked pretty good... idk. I have the same problem except my teeth are yellow bc I had caps put on and the dumb dentist doesn't know how to correctly match teeth and they cost me $800 each. So I guess the only way the caps will look brighter is by going to the dentist but i'm sure it will cost hundreds to fix something he did wrong

  • I have heard of people using diluted bleach on a tooth brush. I have never tried but some say it works good. keep in mind bleach is extremely toxic to you. if you swallow any you will be very sick or it could be fatal. other than that se a dentist they can help
