My should i be mad at my friend for this ?

Warning this is extremely long

So yesterday in I gym class I told someone who I thought was my friend that I had a crush on some. She him asked out for me and said that he said yes and was all happy and told everyone cause Everytime I ask someone out I get rejected , but I kinda thought she was lying cause when I told people they laughed at me so I asked my other friend if she was lying and she rinah was lying
And I was so made I cried a little then the girl came by and said that my crush wanted me to hold his jacket I just walked away and cried.

I probably shouldn't have cried but im just an extremely emotional, insecure and stupid ive been homeschooled for 6 years so I'm different.

So the question is should I be mad at my friend or was it just a mean joke?

And did overreact ?

        I know, it's downright awful. I hope it's because English is not the person's first language, because it's borderline illiterate.

    Your friend laughed at you and didn't come to your side even though you were crying? Yeah, you have every reason to be mad at him.

    But don't keep this to yourself, go talk to him. Show him you got really upset and saddened with what he has done. Either he learns from this or you find someone else. Because there's nothing worse that needing your friend in a bad time and he hurts you even more.
