My roommate is a jerk!

...So my roommate has not said a word to me in the past two weeks because she is mad that i didnt pay rent on time. I told her i was going to be late, but she 'doesnt remember me saying that.' The landlord got his mother involved, and it 'ruined their christmas'. Is this normal behavior? She's 20 years old.

    I would be mad too if my room mate did not pay ontime too! Do you just expect other people to take care of you? Does it matter if you told her you were going to be late? You still did not handle your responsibility. I think you have a false sense of entitlement.

    You may have told her, or thought you did, but someone is going to have to be the bigger person here.

    Maybe like doing this? Buy her a little gift. Say you are sorry. Never be late on your rent. Put it behind you and get on with enjoying each others company as roomies.
