it might not be haunted...my house makes weird noises too and its not haunted lol
i think its normal....all house's and apartments creek and make noise when its very silent dont think so much of it.
I recently stayed over at someone else's house and found it difficult to get to sleep due to the constant creaking, clicking and 'tapping' noises I could hear. I wasn't afraid at all, but it was annoying. As mtnw said above, it's the sound of the house settling and adjusting to temperature change, expanding and contracting. Nothing paranormal or scary at all :)
I got that when I was normal... and I think my house is haunted. beware.
all buildings make noise, they settle, are effected by the freezing and thawing of the ground underneath. then there's plumbing, mice in the walls, or in the attic. some sounds actually follow the plumbing through the walls and carry it to another part of the house. heating systems will make noise too. my house is over 200 years old, and it makes plenty of noise.
of course, isn't that the way, it stops if you point it out to someone.
