They are good parents, at least they don't think corporal punishment is the answer
Note: Spanking only instills fear and hatred in a child, the child themselves do not learn right from wrong only fear and hatred.
A better method is to sit the child down and explain why what they did was wrong (ideally quietly verbally from the mouth!)

If your comment was about my knowledgeable understanding of the matter of corporal punishment? Then know this, the US is still one of the LAST to continue this barbaric behaviour (along side Middle Eastern countries too, strangely).
