My mouth gets really dry after licking my fingers

When im on my pc, gaming or whatever, i tend to lick my fingers so i have better grip on the mouse, because its really slippery. I know its a stupid habit but sometimes i dont even notice im doing it. My mouth gets really dry, usually for several days, no matter how much water i drink.

I dunno, but I'm pleasantly surprised as I thought this was gonna be something weird.

Well first off, it's pretty nasty licking your fingers after touching anything without washing first. But you say you wash them all the time, and i know soap has polymers in it to strip away dirt and oil from hands, even your bodies natural oils. So maybe it is the polymer chemicals from your fingers stripping the essential mucus from your tongue and mouth lining. Just an observation.

That's pretty fuckin nasty. Your mouse and hands must stink.

Additionally, adding liquid doesn't make things less slippery.

Well, you're getting cleaning product residue in your mouth which could potentially cause a reaction. Try cleaning with something natural like dilluted vinegar or lemon juice or products specially formulated to be food safe/non-irritating. See if that helps.
