Hey um my mother slaps me on the ass in a teasing manner think usually when i walk by at times or such just randomly then smiling about it ,hm what would you call this just teasing fun or?
when my son was younger, I always patted his cute little bum when he walked by. At around 12 y/o, he started freaking out when I touched him. I respected this but missed being able to touch him - nothing weird about that.
I am in my mid 30's, but look younger and my son is now 16. We are often mistaken for brother and sister. So sometimes my affection towards him may appear unnatural. I'll stroke his cheek or something and sales ppl will look at us funny
I sometimes kiss him when he sleeps. If he wakes up - he freaks. it's pretty funny!!
But my point is - - I am his mother and he will always be my baby. that's how I see him. I see my baby boy when I look at him. Eventhough he looks like a man. He often has to remind me that he is "16 YEARS OLD, MOM, GEEZ!!!"

to redhead..you seriously need to cut the cord..not only are you doing things to make your son feel uncomfortable, but you're going to eventually cause problems between the two of you. and more than likely you'll be the type of dumbass mom who is jealous of your son's g/f when that time comes, if it hasn't already..and well just PROBLEM! he's not your baby anymore..get over it, and get a life outside of your son. Obsession of any kind is NOT NORMAL AND NOT HEALTHY!!!
Yeah you are an awesome parent. I always missed the physical touching. That is love and he knows that. And it makes a healthy kid because you have supplied him with so much love. But as i am a man myself, i know my hormones can control me and as a boy you are looking for sex 24/7. So if the son takes it wrong, push him away and make it clear that it is not okay. If he is horny, then it's not your son buta beast that destroys everything. Many women has to know that. But you are awesome, i totally recommend being overloving and a wierd parent that makes your kid feel ashamed of you hehe, in a good way. Alway treat him as a baby, because he is your baby :-) I think it's boring when the mom distance herself to the kids', i like Ll to be close and communicate love through touching and then handling conflicts like adults.

Varies by family. My mom does the same thing (and I'm an adult). Nothing to worry by the sound of it.
Why are you blowing this up so much? It is your mom? Family do weird stuff like this with each other it means nothing. I use to sit on my siblings and cousins when we use to play. They do goofy things like that it just means they care about you and think you are cute. Not like they are grabbing your bum saying what a firm butt you have.

My mom does this too, and it's not about "cutting the cord"...you only get one mom (If you're lucky) and I'll cherish mine as long as I live. She might have been embarrassing when I was a teenager, but you outgrow all that bullshit. I can see how much she loves me, and I'm sure Redhead is the same way.
