My sister barley graduated high school and isn't going to.collage because we can't afford it. My alcoholic mom gives her so much sympathy because she's depressed and my mom.doesn't think she needs to do chores or arrons . She even gets to see a therapist and 2 other doctors. I'm depressed to but noone seems to care they always say she's better than me. The other day she said "well alex(sister) is doing fantastic! And allie(me) is failing all her classed and being disobobedient " she wont even pay to take me to the doctor because I have scoliosis.. when my sister is gone all she does is drink ,yell at me then sleeps for about 4 days straight.

    School counsellor. You deserve to be heard. And maybe disengage with their issues and move on with your life!

    your mom deserves to be slapped. so does your sister, a good big punch for being irrational and not face reality.

    what matters is your sister getting a job and not be such a lazy butt. your mom BTW needs to get a grip and stop the alcohol.

    but yeah- counselling is best choice, tell them what's up and you'd get some help from there.

          My.family knows and she doent want them to.help because she thinks they wont like her anymore.. me.and my dad have a.great relationship were like.bestfriends! He lives an hour away though and I only see him twice aa week

    You deserve better then that hun. You could get a part time job and start saving money secretly so you can do the things you want to do the minute you leave that hellhole? Realising it's wrong is your strength and makes you the better stronger person.

    Also, if it makes your mom look bad that you move out with your dad or get some other help...you need to forget about that and too bad for her! It's your life and she isn't helping...don't listen to what's she says about her reputation... Because if she really cared, you wouldn't be in this situation

    Unfortunately some people are like this..whether it be a mom or dad or spouse..some people just neglect others and its not your fault..those are there issues they will eventually have to deal with..I would definitely see a school counsellor and try and get some help..although be prepared they may want to call child services

    It won't let me reply to your comment because this iPad if fucking stupid... Anyways, you NEED to live with your dad... I promise this situation will not get better unless your mom stops drinking and becomes sober and realizes she needs to treat you both fairly and care for both of you. Do u think that is going t happen anytime soon? If not, PLEASE GET HELP FROM FAMILY OR YOUR DAD OR A COUNSELOR... Or the police if you cannot get that. I was a young girl in a situation similar. The only way I got help was my dad getting custody of me and now my life is great. How old are you? Seriously please take my advice... It may be hard but you need to get out of that environment, especially since you are depressed and you need to see a doctor for your scoliosis! I wasn't to become a counselor or a psychologist to help people like you (not saying that in a bad way) , I respect people like you for putting up with this kind of bullshit

    I feel for you and your mom is not being fair but that being said, stop failing classes. It's really not hard to pass a class and unless your mom is completely ridiculous it'll probably help your situation as well. Don't let their issues mess up your life.

    It's an unfair situation. What you can do is focus on something else. Take up reading or something that will keep your mind busy and just say to yourself that things can only change because you won't live forever with them. They both have problems, it's obvious.

      All the things I enjoy, gymnastics, psychology dancing , Cost money and they wont pay for them
