My life is at risk...

Yesterday, my parents took me to the doctor to be scanned to see if I am liable to have and Aortic Anurism because just a couple months ago my aunt had this happen to her and lost both of her legs. So we arrive at the office to get me scanned to find out if this will happen to me. After approximately an hour waiting and handing over $160.00 they finally call me to the exam room to ask me all of these questions such as, have i had surgery anytime in my life and if i take any medication, etc. Eventually the doctor tells me (in his exact words) "I don't know what to do for you." Isn't it his job to find out whats wrong with me? This could put my life at serious risk and they seem not to care after all the money my family has handed them. All this brings me to one question. Is it normal for me to know more than this doctor and i havent even attended college yet? someone....please help me...

Get the doctor to blow you in his office on the examining table. You will feel better about everything.

So he didn't know what you are there for? Doesn't mean you know more than him, just that he has his schedule very messed up.

When will humanity stop seeing doctors as all-knowing gods?

So he didn't know how to do the tests for you? Or he couldn't cure you? What exactly?

While some doctors seem to know everything there are also those that seem to know nearly nothing...

not all doctors know everything. it sucks, but sometimes you may have to search for awhile and see several docs before you find one that knows what she's doing and can actually help you.
