My boyfriend introduced me to this vintage (from the 80s) anime show, and I started getting really into it. Problem is, after a while a new character was introduced, and I kind of have a crush on him. But it's a cartoon! It's not real! Not only is it physically (although guys who look like that in real life do nothing for me), but his personality and everything, he's so ideal.

What can I do to get over a stupid and pathetic cartoon crush?

    I found this forum by seaching fake feelings.
    I do not usually lie or fake to womans, but if makes she feels better i would.
    Look for someone with my skills(if i do not tell you about that, you would never know because i fake a lot good).

    No worries! I get those all the time, it's just being a fangirl. It's actually a really common thing, though alot of people on this site aren't quite used to the idea, as I have learned. If you think it becomes a serious issue in your life, or lasts to long, you can try to seek out help from a therapist. But for now, just take it easy. It's a normal thing and happens to many people.

    You will, given time. Loads of people get "cartoon crushes." If you think about it, it's not that different from getting a crush on a character from a movie - they might be played by a real, live actor, but the character isn't real. Don't stress it.
