My hollow head

Is it normal for other people to hear a noise like your knocking a door when you tap your head?
When i was a kid people used to do that trick where they pretended there head was hollow by banging on a nearby piece of wood.
I can do this too except i dont need any wood. My head actually sounds hollow when its tapped. I even recorded it and listened to it back and its pretty loud.
Normal?
