My gut feelings are very innacurate

Often people say that the feeling in their gut is "always right". For me, this is rarely the case. They have made me uncomfortable when nothing was wrong, or relaxed when danger was imminent. I have listened to it a lot of the time and then caused me to run into trouble. Of course, there are certain things that it is right, but it is far from "always right" as those people like to say.

Is it normal to have an unreliable gut instinct?

  • Do the exact opposite of what your gut tells you.

    Problem: solved.

  • I've had this problem too.
This is why I try to base my decisions off of what seems to make more logical sense.

Could you pose a question that is a little more vague? I dislike questions that are concise and specific.

I'd be surprised and a bit frightened if I knew of someone whose 'gut feeling' was usually right.
