My guilt about sin

First of all to all you annoying ppl who take any opportunity to have a go at faith/religions that you don't fully understand - go and debate the deity of Christ elsewhere - this question came from a Christian who obviously understands far better than any of you the concept of sin and Jesus' subsitionary death and so you should limit your answers to that.

To the poster I say this "Yes it is perfectly normal to have a lot of guilt about your sin. We as humans can never be perfect and so will always sin and as a consequence of our understanding of Jesus' death we will always feel guilty for doing so but there is nothing wrong with you for this, nor should you feel ashamed of admitting to something like it as a result of the comments certain people have made here, we all have freedom of religion and so if you want to follow an invisible God who loves the world so much that he GAVE his only son to die for a sinful world and therefore redeem it you should go ahead and do so!"

First of all, God didn't sacrifice himself in vane/ for nothing! There's millions of people who love Him and listen to his word. It is normal to feel guilt. Just keep praying and He'll give you the strength to overcome any temptaion that comes to your life. God bless you!!!

I'm not going to slam your choice of religion, but maybe you should seek advice from the clergy in your church, or even some of the elders of the church. They have probably seen, and or heard it all, and will be able to help in ways that maybe praying wont. If you are feeling a huge amount of guilt, then you must either be doing something that bothers your conscience, or you really take the written word very serious. either way, get some advice from a real person.

God takes care of all his flock even the ones who stray. He knows what he's doing. Guilt isn't becoming. People do repent. The disire you speak of is the question.. Do not worry things are as they should be. I don't know how old you are so just try to be a good example.No one is perfect.

Jesus was basiclly a god he is the son of god his spirt was perfect but he was embodied in flesh so that he could die he was here as one of us so that he could tell us the good news of the lord god knows we are imperfect and he wanted a way for us to be saved even if u decide ur a christia n u CAN NOT be perfect u are not a god when u ask 4 forgivness god forgives u so forgive ur self

Listen, I used to be a part of all of that. If you would just realize that it's a load of bullshit- I mean, REALLY think about it all, you will feel a lot better.

If God didn't want you to sin, why did he give you all the instincts you have?.

Jesus dying for your sins. That is the reason I left christianity. Jesus was human. Use your head.

Not only does religion prevent you from enjoying your "desire", whatever it is, it is causing you this guilt. Not that you will listen; but religion is meant to be a help, not a hindrance. You are a living example of one of the many reasons that religion is a pile of shit. You won't give up your religion, I'm pretty certain of that, but that means you will live with your guilt, and not live fully the life that God (should he exist) gave you.

If god knows everything, then he would stop the 'bad people' from being bad. But he 'created' the bad people.....So then that "nice god" sent his own son to get KILLED? yes, KILLED! for our sins.
IT DOESN'T MAKE SENSE TO FEEL GUILT OF SOMETHING U DIDN'T DO! UR ANCESTORS SUPPOSEDLY DID THE SINS & it says in the Bible thats the children should not be punished for the sins of their fathers! IF GOD IS THE DAD OF JESUS THEN WHY DID JESUS PAY FOR GODS' SIN OF KILLING PEOPLE.....NO ONE EVER SED THE 10 AMENDMENTS DON'T APPLY TO GOD! DONT FEEL GUILTY, U JUST HAVE A REALLY BIG HEART. :)
