My girlfriend wraps cans of soda in aluminum foil and sits them in the fridge overnight. She says it helps them stay cold when she brings them to work the next day.
I've never heard of anyone else doing this. It doesn't make sense to me because the sodas are already in an aluminum can.
Is this normal?
Seems a little redundant considering those cans are already made of aluminium. So its wrapping aluminium in aluminium.
I do the same thing and trust me IT WORKS otherwise at school my soda would be warmer than piss
My family does the same thing. Maybe it keeps the sodas colder or something. I never Really understood why my family does it.
show her this: get 2 thermometers and stick them in a can with no foil and one with. maybe ull be suprised - but probly not

If she thinks that than I guess it normal because people will do things if they think it has good benifets ( that's why credit card comps. make so much $$$
Aluminum is a metal. Metals are good thermal conductors. Wrapping your soda cans in a material that is a thermal INSULATOR will keep it cold longer, but wrapping it in metal will have a negligible effect on the temperature of the can or its contents.
There is capri sun, so I guess its does keep it cool, but she could use a temperature containers for better effect/cheaper option.

I think that's normal because it double insulation helps keeps them cold, i think you should tell her how sexy you thin it is. It's definitely sexy.
yeah, that's stupid. But, you do know that aluminum from soda cans and deoderants are leading causes to alzheimers and cerebral palsy right? Tell her to switch to plastic bottles and that they'll be just as cold as without aluminum. I thought everyone knew about the damaging effects of aluminum.
