I have been in a relationship with a girl for about nine months. I have been in previous relationships with girls a few times. But I am also a girl. I am openly gay and love this girl very much. I'm not ashamed of being gay, but I don't like to flaunt it in public as much as my girlfriend does. The way I see it, I don't want to see a girl and a guy making out, a boy and another boy making out, OR a girl and another girl making out while I am trying to have a hamburger with my friends. Is it bad that I don't like to flaunt my homosexuality??

    I don't think sexuality is an issue at all here, just respect for what other people may be offended by.

    If I see two people kissing, I look away. Not because I hate it, but out of respect for their privacy (even though they're in public). It's a two-way street and I do expect people not to go over the top.

    Totally normal. She's into PDA and you're not. No big deal. Your sexuality doesn't matter as much here, many people would prefer to not see 2 people making out in public, but you may get even more looks because you're lesbian. Talk to her about it and tell her what you're comfortable with and what you're not. For example, I told my boyfriend that I'm okay with holding hands and his arms around me and quick kisses, but nothing too intense. Good luck:)
