My girlfriend hates my piss bucket

Since I was a bachelor I used a bucket to piss into at night from my bedside (laying down position) cause once I got up I couldn't go back to sleep, it was a big problem for me. I put the bucket away when we first dated but I started using it again recently, told her I really need it.

I went to empty it a couple days ago and splashed a bunch of it on her legs by accident. She was pissed and told me it's not normal and I need to stop drinking sodas before bed. What do people who have trouble sleeping usually do?

    You went to empty your piss bucket a couple of days ago... Man, your house must smell like a public restroom.

    Get rid of that shit and go to the bathroom like a normal human being. If you have trouble sleeping, either get sleeping pills, or have a quick drink to help you relax. But this is just stupid...

    If you are trying to get to sleep, shit man a kid knows you shouldn't drink liquids and sugary ones before bed anyway. Why not give her the respect and try not drinking past a certain time. If you do get thirsty, then an appleororange, one thing with natural n ice in it. Either way if you don't get rid of the bucket, don't be shocked to come home and find her gone. There is no way in hell that is nice aromatic addition to your bedroom. That's nasty to just think about. Get up at night to bathroom, turn on water faucet, or stay in there till you relax enough. There's an emotional issue somewhere.

    First off, bad idea to drink anything carbonated and sugar filled before sleeping, bad for the teeth.

    And if you are having really bad problems with holding the bladder, it might be something serious, dunno, I have never heard of anyone having anything so involuntary, that they cant hold it for a couple of seconds, be normal.
