My girlfriend feels nervous around me

Dude, that's called being in "love" she just likes you very much, you should worry when she stops acting nervous, haha.

I don't think this is normal after 4 months. The stage when she's nervous because she's so infatuated should be over now.

I really can't tell what the problem might be, though, because what the nature of the nervousness is. Is it worry that she'll do something that you won't like? Is it fear that you'll betray her emotionally? Is it need for approval? Is it fear that you'll physically hurt her? Hard to say. Has she been hurt or abused in the past?

Regardless, I think you might want to talk to her about this, or suggest that she or both of you talk to a therapist about it. Sometimes anxiety doesn't have a specific cause or is caused by an anxiety disorder, but it's still important to deal with it.

It's perfectly normal , she'll be nervous for the first couple of weeks maybe even months . Its really just her afraid of being herself around you cause she's afraid you'll look at her weird or something.

We do fully trust each other... And we both have made it clear that we want to spend the rest of our lives together... As I said we both have aspergers... (That causes social discomfort)... And she has stopped feeling nervous now... She hugged me and I kissed her and that broke the nervousness outright...

I think she dosent fully trust you at first I thought period but then you said it happens all the time hmmmmmmmmm maybe she was heartbroken it takes time to recover from that maybe she thinks you'll leave her

if they are nervous they most likely are because they are worried about how the other thinks about them, and if they do something wrong, then you wont like them anymore. very common. Once you get over that, it is the nervousness about the openness in your relationship to others

Well we do both have aspergers syndrome... So I don't know if that would make much of a difference... Also we both are planning for a future together...
