My friends want to make a rap group, but the name is stupid.

My two best friends and I have decided to make a mix tape sort of dealy just for fun, and we were deciding the name of the group, and they were texting each other, and decided on the name "contrabandits" which, once presented to me, I rejected. I proposed the name "soup kitchen surprise" but they just said if I don't like contrabandits I can just not be in the group. I would very much like to be a part of this, but I can't stand that stupid name. What should I do? (Also comment which name you prefer)

I should deal with it and do it to have fun 10
I should continue to argue for the better name 0
I should accept the fact that they are going to have a stupid name. 8
Help us keep this site organized and clean. Thanks!

Are you really going to turn down an opportunity to have fun and get creative with your friends because of a *name*?

They should go with the name Pirate Monkeys or Agate Swindlers. While both Contrabandits and Soup Kitchen Suprise stink, why not join the group anyway to have a good time with your friends?

Both names are awful, soup kitchen bandits is better than either.

Their name sounds like they're actually taking it seriously. They're just saying it's 'for fun' because if people think they suck it won't hurt so bad. Honestly, I wouldn't do this with them. They're going to try to take it somewhere you don't want to go. Quite frankly, your name has the right sound for someone who's just goofing around. If they were 'chillin' they would purposely go for the sillier name. Hang out with your friends doing other stuff instead or they'll drag you along til they get tired of you.

I don't like either names. Why don't you name yourselves "either" or "I there."

Or, going with something that is personal. It could be a word you like. Something based on a memory. Etc.

Definitely, consider how the name would age. Would it age well?

Both names suck pretty equally. How about combining them into something slightly less sucky? But yeah, just do it for the fun of it. Name doesn't really matter, and who knows, it might grow on you.
