My friends freak out when i'm online and don't talk to them.

I have a number of friends who get upset if they see that I've been online and havn't signed into a messenger. I can't respond to a facebook post or the like without getting an email to this effect:

"Oh?? I see you were online and couldn't be bothered to sign in to MSN? I guess you don't want to talk to me. ;-( "

This happens every time ( Usually the same 3 friends who have no jobs and spend their lives online.) I tried to explain to one of them that sometimes I want to check email or be online but don't feel like having a conversation and that it was nothing personal...He got so upset he cried...He's 30 years old.

I just... Don't...Know?

I don't like having online conversations to much... I know what you mean... And being questioned about it is rather annoying

WTF? They can't be serious! They need to get a life and stop trying to guilt trip you over what you do or don't do.

Ugh, guilt trips from friends are very annoying. Try not to let it get to you.

    Your friends sound pretty lonely.
I think they need to get lives. I know I don't have time to have a conversation every time I log in to a computer.

You have your own life, they just have to deal with that. I see where they might be insecure (which case I am sympathetic), but you can't be the one to solve those problems- they have to.

empathise don't simpathise man, if u simpathise thats bringing u down to there "level" empathy is simply understanding them and not feeling sorry for them.

Oh my god you think that this is a problem or a big deal. People get upset when they are 'forever alone ' , but you get upset because you have the attention of 3 persons ?! You must be happy you don't have to complain in this case.
    I can't understand you.

My forever alone friends are always up my ass. Which is why they are forever alone. Because I don't want anyone up my ass for any amount of time. I can set anyone else up with a life.

I'd straight-up be like: ''You're right, I don't want to talk to you.'' Lol

    And leave it at that.
