My friends and i wanted to become pregnant as teens

after we watched 16 & pregnant when we were in high school, we all thought it was cool to become a teen mom.
the girls in our school who actually were pregnant got a lot of attention and we thought that was cool too.
only one of us actually did try to get pregnant and had a baby, but yeah we all thought it was so cool to have a baby in hs. we weren't thinking about all the financial issues that it would bring, we were just looking at it like "awww babies are so cute so i want one" and like the attention would be awesome.
looking back, i think that is dumb as all out, my friend that did have a baby now has 3 daughters and we're only 21. i feel so bad for her and am glad i didnt get pregnant myself. but yeah for some reason we all thought babies were cute and we all wanted one while still in hs.

    Yes, it's normal for impressionable teens to not dully understand the implications of serious things.

    My sister wanted to have a baby when she was 15 because, in her words and spelling, "babbies r soooo kyuteh". She told me she was pregnant, but it became increasingly apparent that she did not in fact know how pregnancy is caused. At 15 :/

    I hope she gets smarter before she gets pregnant :/

    Sounds realy dumb doesnt seem normal teen agers should be thinking about going to college , exploring the world, maybe starting a buisiness or something, normal dreams young people have.

    I knew one girl who was like this as a teenager. I thought she was pretty stupid, even then tbh. She did have kids young, but I think everything turned out ok.

    Brutally honestly though, I think it's pretty dumb, even for teenagers. We were all reckless and invincible etc, but this always seemed straight up stupid to me.
