My friend was in the same room in which my mom was changing clothes?

So. my friend comes many times in my house.

He was frank with my mom.

My mom chat with him daily on social apps.

1 day we (mom, my friend and me) were in the same room.

Suddenly mom asked me that she is going somewhere and need to get ready. She will change her clothes. So she asked me to go out from that room.

I went outside towards another room. I was expecting that my friend is also coming behind me.

Mom shut the door and I was thinking that if my mom is changing clothes, why she is not letting my friend come outside.

I waited for 15 minutes. After changing, when she opened the door, they were talking with each other.

I asked my friend that what was he doing inside.

My mom said that they were having an argument regarding a topic and she was letting him understand about it. His eyes were closed.

I said ok, but I was still in doubt.

After few days, I saw that they were talking in kitchen. My friend's right hand was on her butt.

After few more days, I came from school, I noticed that he was already there with her. He told me that he was waiting for me.

This is not done yet.

1 day mom was washing some clothes in bathroom. There are 2 bathrooms in our house. I was using the other one.

When I came out. I saw that they both were in the same bathroom for 10 minutes.

I asked when he came out, then he said he was in pressure, there was no option.

I didn't ask my mom that why she didn't come outside.

Are all these normal? Am I thinking too much? Or there is something which they are hiding?

My mom is 20 years older than him. She is 38 and my friend is just 1 year older than me.

Such frankness between these two people who are in gap with age of 20 years is normal?
