My friend never had a job and she blames a tumor?

No one else knows about this, but me. I don't know if she just made it up for me or what, but I asked a few of her other friends and they all said they don't know what I'm talking about.

She's 28 years old and never had a job since she was 16. She just sits home while her husband works and they hired a cleaning lady so basically, shes out with her friends 24/7. I didn't even ask her why she didn't work, she just told me randomly, "and I can't work because I have a tumor in my brain since birth that makes me sick a lot".

So far, this year, she was sick once and it lasted 3 days. That was since Jan 2010. So why is she using this as an excuse? I asked her if she needs medication for it, she said no. I asked her oh how much do you get sick, she said "about once a month for a week" but she only got sick once since january.

She's morbidly obese (her shirts are a mens XXL and if she wears womens, shes usually a 4X). I mean, I'm glad she's comfortable shopping with me and revealing her size, but do you think this is why? Is she just lazy? She can't breathe well because she sits around and eats a lot of junk food and she is very close to developing diabetes according to her doctor. So do you think she's making up this brain tumor or is there such a thing?

If the tumor's malignant, then I don't see how it impacts her ability to work. If it's benign, she'd have been dead long ago ... So it sounds like she's just bullshitting her way into not having to work. People claim a lot of stupid reasons for not working and they get away with it because the welfare authorities don't hold them to account. She probably can't work a lot of jobs due to her size, but that's her fault, and that's nothing new ... There's a lot of very fat people out there who are content to be that way because it means they can just scrounge off society every day. Sitting on the sofa, watching TV and stuffing their faces with crap is all life means to these people, they feel no responsibility whatsoever.

If she had one I highly doubt that its malignant. If she had brain cancer she would've died a long time ago. However, if its benign you can live for quite awhile but eventually there will be a deterioration in brain functioning. She could be telling the truth but something does seem a tad suspicious. Ask her husband discreetly.

She's full of shit. If she can go out & party she can work. He husband is an idiot. He needs to get absolute proof of her ailment. If she actually has a brain tumor, even then, there's no excuse to be a fat, gluttonous, lazy slob.

People with tumors still work. Er, some can.. if they're medically cleared for work, that is. I think she's just milking for what it's worth and not taking responsibility.

Ugh. Hope she's not receiving disability for this.

Seriously I don't think she has a tumor. Tell her to quit wasting her life and go to a gym and lose some weight. She probably said she had a tumor becuase it was an excuse for her not being able to find a job because of her weight.

She could be telling the truth, but it sounds like she just does not want to work. If she is healthy enough to hang out with friends... If she is only sick one week a month then maybe she could work part time??
