My friend is kinda racist?

k so my best friend is african american and is always joking how people are against her "because she is black" whenever teachers or anyone yell at her or anything. we live in a mostly white communtity (not all) so I guess I can understand when she sorta feels like this...but her mom IS white and she's grown up here her entire life...

and to get to the real point, sometimes she'll say things like "that white boy is nice but I really like black guys so much better.." or refer to my other friends as "them skinny white b**ches.." lol it might seem funny or not that bad, but when she says how she likes black people better ALL the time, it really bugs me, especially when she's always accusing others of being racist against her :(

  • She lives in a black & a white world and probably has a pretty good idea from personal experience of what racism is really about. As her best friend though you are picking up where she may be confused, unaware or just wrong about things. Tell her. It is pretty obvious you care a great deal.

You should talk to your friend about how you feel. Racism of any kind makes "normal" people uneasy and to have to deal with it constantly is bound to unnerve even the loyalist of friends. She may have some identity issues that she is dealing with now, especially if she is one of the few people of color in your community. She may feel ostracized just in immitation of what she sees in the media. Maybe being different is becoming an issue for her and she thinks that by accusing people of being racist she can excuse her own racial ideas. It's just sad that race is still an issue when there are so many other things to deal with in life. I feel for you but I think that you should confront this dead on! How would she feel being called a black b***h??? Ask her the flip of what she says. Be strong. If she is a real friend she will see how much it hurts you and calm down. If not, oh well...do you really want a friend that lives in such a box???

    Good Luck!!
    ~Peace~

  • Blacks are whiny and bitchy and will find any excuse to pull the race card on "evil whitey". Dumb ass Liberals that make excuses for them allow this shit to happen.

EVERY human being on the planet is "kinda racist". We can not top it and we can not stop it. The race card is as old as dirt and it is about time we all burn and bury it and accept that we are all racist. There are extremes to the theme no doubt but we all are racist. GET OVER IT and stop letting it distract us from what is essential and important to EVERY human being. Education, clean air, clean water, toxin-free food and the pursuit of happiness that does not infringe on the basic human rights of others. Stop whining, stop bitching and get over yourself. VOTE, be responsible for the energy you bring to any situation, apply yourself and stop watching YouTube and TV half of the day, participate in creating your future, take care of your children instead of pawning them on tax payers and live your life with dignity, morals and respect for others or SHUT THE FUCK UP and don't take the advise of predatory attorneys thaqt want to sue the government when your loved one gets shot by the police for doing stupid shit.

Talk about kettle black (no pun intended) you should tell her how you feel about her ignorant remarks and that all people are capable of projecting racism.

If ya spot it, ya got it. She's seeing a reflection of others prejudices which match hers. It's easier to look at them as the wrong doers than herself

Alot of black people are conditioned to think white people are racist because of history and things they have heard black people say on the TV. Your friend does seem more racist but I don't know personally but don't most black women prefer black men? People do tend to stick with their own ethnicity.

Your friend brings up the race issue because she is insecure about being black in a predominantly white area. She probably thinks its best that she address what she think is the '' elephant in the room'' before anyone else does.

Talk to her and let her know that regardless of skin color racism hurts on all sides and that the experience of other african-americans facing prejudice dosen't make it her experience.

she probabaly jealous of your relationship with your other friends. or she's just insecure in herself. confront her about it. if yall are really best friends she will understand that it bothers you. if not then she has problems and you should stay away from her.
