I have a 16 year old friend who is a boy. He wants to know if it is to early to tell. He has been having these feelings since he was 12. Is it to early to tell if he is?

There really isn't a "too early". Some people have discovered their sexuality at earlier ages. He probably is gay and there's nothing wrong with that. Just tell him that he has your full support or does he?
Yep, a few years after puberty and beyond is when you can be almost assured of your sexual orientation. Besides, you said your friends been feeling this for 4 years now, so I'd say he already knows.
Slash his throat and see if he goes to Hell. Surest way I could think of.
When I was about 6/7 I knew one of my friends was gay, not sure how though. XD
A person is never simply too young to know. Every individual knows if he/she are gay. Some people are just having bicurious thoughts, which is normal, but sometimes they feel this way because they are truly more attracted to the same sex.
Using myself as an example, I have always known I was bisexual, being way more attracted to my same sex, females. I always, even as a young girl was more attracted to them but ignored it for many years because to the public eye it was "wrong" at 15 I realized here was really no fighting my urges and there was no reason I should have to because of other people. Be true to yourself, no matter what that may be...I was never happier after I became more true to myself.
He's gay. He will probably go through all the denial and the excuse that he is bi, but he definitely is gay. Everyone needs to accept it because you can't change it.
It's just something you know. Most of us know we're straight by our teens, it's generally the same with gay people, although there is room for confusion with either preference!
I have a friend who at 19 knows she likes guys, but can't decide whether she's into girls for sure. Sometimes she is, sometimes she isn't.
Does there really need to be a label?
Your friend needs your love and support...whether you are male female. Encourage him to be himself whatever his sexual orientation is.
My friend knew he was gay at the age of four.
Another woman I know what showing preferences at the age of three.
So it's pretty much normal. Being gay isn't something you grow into.
Athleast from what i have read it can be to early but even if it is he could still be gay...
