It started a few weeks ago. I understand the psychology behind it, and they do too. They just wanted to test the waters.
I'm concerned for them, and I don't know what to say when they ask for advice on the subject. I feel like it won't work out for them.
Is it normal for them to actually have a relationship like this?
Incest is mainly wrong for procreating, because genetic diversity is a good thing. Not only is an inbred child at higher risk of cell mutation or inheriting illnesses; it also decreases the child's chance to fight off sicknesses easily, sicknesses that we don't even think twice about like the cold or flu.
How old are they? If they want to have sex, that's fine I guess, but they really need to think about those moments when birth control fails and she gets pregnant, or if they're thinking about having a family. They need to prepare themselves for any complications or at least have a good insurance plan and decent paying jobs.
Hm... It is morally wrong but who are we to judge? Let it be. No point causing bother if both are willing lol. I'm sure they, although wrong, will be fine :D
Could use a little more background info. Did they actually grow up together, or is this a separate at birth kind of thing?
Ok, so here's an update. Her brother is her half-sibling (same Mother, different Father). They didn't grow up together, but when he was living in their house for a short time, they instantly clicked. Her other siblings tended to act rudely towards her, but he didn't.
They also have many similar tastes in music, style, etc. They might stay together and have kids someday(?).
Technically speaking, it does take more than one generation for your children to be guaranteed some problems due to incest.
I'd say that with still ne parent in common, it's still not normal.. But at least if they didn't grow up together it's more understandable and acceptable.
Careful about the familial repercussions it might have! They don't want their parents to break up over what could just be a fling for them
I don't think it is exactly normal but I can't say that I haven't thought about doing things with my half brother. I have slept with my first cousin multiple times which is more normal than wanting to sleep with your brother/sister. I have actually had dreams about my half brother and boy oh boy did it get steamy ! I think it is really up to them to find out whether it would work for them or not. most places will not condone such acts as legal but I don't know where you all live. just tell them to be careful and to be true to themselves.
Not normal, but I don't really see an issue with it if they aren't having kids. Like gross to me personally, but other people can do whatever they want.
