My friend has bpd.

I met my friend of 3 years online, and I know what youll all say, its online forget it. But I cant. Ive known him 3 years and feel I know him inside and out. We chat, email, message, video chat. The thing is with Bpd he can get a bit weird, now ive grown to know that these episodes happen. When we first met he told me he was 25. Now once he had an episode and told me he was really 21... and the next day he said he was sorry it wasn't him talking.. it happened again and again. And this time its happened again, also told me hes made half his family up, hes 21, and hes not even from the same country... it broke me. But it still doesn't feel real. he showed me a birth certificate.. and it stated he was born not in this country and was only 21... I feel deflated but I am not believing it. if you are adopted does your birth certificate get changed??

    Someone with Bpd has a serious mental illness, not saying the guy can't give you a loving relationship but do realize not all people with this disorder know how to love..My ex girlfriend has multiple mental illnesses with learning disabilities she can't adapt to live alone or to take care of her self cause she is mentally ill and one of her illnesses is Bpd..I'm not saying the guy can't give you real love I don't know his case cause i believe mentally ill people can love it's just it will take a lot cause if you ever met him you would have to help care for him if it became more than friendship but i do think you are better off to double think this one there could be lot of
    heart aches.
