My friend's getting on my nerves. He's a pretty good friend, except lately he seems to do nothing but brag about everything he does. What bothers me most is that most of things are things that he copied from me! I carry a knife around. (Mostly for hiking) One day I said to him that I was going to start a collection. Couple of days later, "Hey, look at this big expensive knife I bought for my collection!" He then proceeded to gloat about how his knife was bigger than mine. Just one case, but see my point?

    I just realised im almost like that with my best friend , but it might be different we are always competing on who's stronger in the gym and better on games .

    The good thing is that we both have our weaknesses and stronger parts
    e.g.
    my bicep/tricep is stronger

    hes got a six pack which i dont yet

    a very close friend of mine is like that. annoying as fuck. I tend to only see him every few months or so because everything I say he has to have a story that outdoes mine and it's total bs to begin with. If you really want a friend that is THAT desperate to impress you, and doesn't even realize the douche he's being, or are just loyal, like me, then learn to deal with it. If you tell him about this he'll just get defensive. just make fun of him to yourself in your head. it's theraputic.

    It is also called one upmanship. One upping is real annoying. Since it is a friend you could just give them a few examples and just ask them to stop. Sometimes people don't realize what they are doin. Sometimes its just they admire something about you but feel insecure about it.

    hey on the bright side, he could be just jealous of u. and he thinks of u like this perfect guy. face it, if u were to copy someone, you wud want him to be perfect right? so way to go u! :D just humour him. and its generous to keep ure hatred inside.
