My friend bugs me non-stop

My friend won't stop texting me. Even on AIM! Right when I sign on an IM from him pops up and freezes up my computer. When I wake up, I get like two texts from him usually. I ignore them but he's like "wakey wakey" few hours later. I get that I'm probably the only person that cares a bit about him, but to text me 24/7 pisses me off.

I am antisocial, and I generally hate getting texts messages (unless its for emergency)...but this is just ridiculous. On a side note: he doesn't like me in an intimate way. He has a gf. I don't want to be mean and tell him to screw off but its rather annoying getting random texts from him just about anything.

Has anyone been through this same situation? You have annoying clingy friends like this? Is this normal?

  • Were their head as a hat, and dance around naked covered in his blood, this should help or not I am not sure.

    Few things to consider.

    1) Your computer freezing up isn't his fault. It's not like he's magically making your computer freeze. Consider upgrading your ram or running less programs at the same time

    2) He doesn't know he's annoying you. It's a bit unfair to hate him for continuing to do something you dislike... when you won't even tell him you dislike it in the first place.

    3) If you still won't tell him that you don't want to chat all the time, consider the following....

    a) Remove AIM from your list of startup programs. I mean really you don't need it running when you turn the computer on, unless you specifically want to use it.

Plus, that may be why your computer's freezing up - too many programs that run when the computer starts

    b) going invis when you want to be left alone

  • If I couldn't be honest with a friend about something like that, then I wouldn't really consider them a "friend" in the first place.
