My friend acts like a chatbot. iin?

Shit, I just.
A huge huge problem.
My friend, who I only know online, is a huge creep. A normal conversation with him is like finding two psychotic people and having them converse with a sane person.
He acts perfectly to adjust to everyone he meets, but with me, he just acts.. odd. It's been bothering me a lot lately. I know he's just trolling, probably, but it still gives me shivers.

For example, he recently said he has no motivation and is going to revert himself back to version 1.09 or something.
We've been friends for like, a year, and usually it's sort of love-hate-ish. He always tells me everything, and he's helped me through a lot of my problems.
He told me about when another one of my friends called me annoying, even.
Back to the story.
So I tried to talk to him, like every night, and this night, I asked if he was there, and he said

"The light from the fire says yes.
The sign on the door says "Out for the next few weeks"
The aspen trees don't really care one way or another"

I tried to say more, he kept saying that.
Now, we have a sort of unspoken contract where I own his soul.
So I, for the first time, used my power and told him to never speak to me again unless I told him to.
And then I ranted at him about how he gives me the creeps and is why I can't sleep at night.
He said nothing.
So, I said bye, and told him to say bye to me.
So, he then, in roleplay form said something along the lines of

"The door opened, a note slipped through. The door shut. The note reads '.. goodbye.' "

Usually he's more like this:

"omg what friend

/notjelus

and just asking.. just cuz..
anyways, i had lots of weird dreams
last night
like 5. i was going to make a jouranl thing
about them but
then i got lazy"

Ignore what was said before it. But that's usually how he acts.
But sometimes he says things like, "It's easy to physically hurt you, so I'll just destroy you mentally."
And asks weird things.
And usually I pretend to be all high and mighty and okay with it.

So, that's basically it.

Keep in mind we've been friends for a year or so. Probably around 2.
I don't think he would try to troll me for 2 years.

Should I be worried?
