My financial strategy involves making people miserable

Should I feel guilty if it's legal?

In life the "Golden Rule" -"Do into others as you would have others do into you".
Or treat others as you would want others to treat you in return. The really sad part is some people thrive and really enjoy the way they can make people's life a living hell. But then are you prepared for Judgement day when you stand before the Lord and knowing you decided it was ok to make people miserable in life ?
Oh yea and remember "Karma is a motherfucker".

Sad that there's no lord, no judgment day and no karma and arseholes get away with all sorts of bad treatment of others: relying on magic thinking won't change that one iota.

We are all going to hell anyways. God throws people into the lake of fire with the same indifference as most people throw out spoiled leftovers.

  • Just gonna drop this out real quick in the comments' section. FUCK THE MODS OF THIS SITE. Bullshit, repetitive posts of the same inane trash always get the front page. Obvious fucking troll posts are constantly allowed.

Meanwhile, if I attempt to post something weird, but thought out and unique (not in this account), I'm fucking shadowbanned for being offensive or too lengthy or something? Crock of shit. I doubt I'm the only person.

Pisses me off to get long post thrown away without goddamn warning or reason. And probably the most annoying, bullshit part of the whole thing is how you don't know whether your post has been blocked from the view of other users, because you can still see it everywhere in the account it was posted from.

You have to get another account, like I have, and check to make sure it's visible so you aren't wasting your fucking time waiting for replies, and so you know to post your thoughts elsewhere, on a non-bullshit platform.

Maybe the reason this site is always such a repetitive cesspool of brainless posts without self-awareness, boring vanilla sex stuff that obviously isn't weird, gross-out troll posts about shitting stupid places, and slurping snot from the sidewalk, and literally psychotic assholes,

is because the mods purposefully weed out and silence anyone who differs from the retarded norm of this place.
    Fuck it.

The difference between the censored and uncensored version of this website is meaningless as well. Half the time, the posts already on the front page are offensive, sexual, or violent. So what the fuck is the purpose of that? It doesn't even block posts with cussing.

It seems this site leaves moderation up to the site members. Now that moderation can be based on anything. Such as "I dont agree", "I dont like said person" or "This post is trash but I like it". It doesn't have to have rhyme or reason to it. Even the fact we let people up and down vote to determine who gets to post. It also seems some people like to serial downvote all posters on certien posts for no reason. Which ill say is another form of trolling.

      • That's interesting. At the end of the day, I think the core reason I got so pissed was because the methods of moderation weren't explained upfront, or maybe I was too dumb to get the mystery of everything that is really going on here.

I can't believe my original ranting comment hasn't been deleted yet, though.

I mean its a very poor moderation system and ut seems the owner does nothing to fish out trolls. So this site seems to be getting progressively worse. Your comment is not wrong by any means.

I don't believe in God, Karma, or an afterlife, and it's pretty damn obvious that people who manipulate, scheme and abuse others often do very well in terms of the number of toys they accumulate in this world.

What you're describing is psychopathic behaviour, since the definition of a psychopath is someone who considers other people to be nothing more than objects to be used for their own benefit. Psychopaths can be very successful if accumulation of money and power over others is your definition of success.

However, psychopaths don't feel guilt (or any other emotion, really), and you asking this question suggests you're probably not a psychopath. A true psychopath would know in his shrivelled, pea-sized heart that making people miserable was a perfectly reasonable thing to do if it made him richer, and he wouldn't give a damn about the opinions of others.

We all behave selfishly at times, but anyone with a degree of empathy will eventually feel some guilt about using others. If you feel guilty about making others unhappy in your pursuit of wealth, that can have a corrosive effect on the rest of your life and your general happiness. For example, you might eventually find yourself self-medicating with alcohol or drugs to allow yourself to forget how much you dislike yourself, or you might be subconsciously driven to engage in self-sabotage.

Depends on what it is? Probably not good though.

The Golden Rule is just the tip of the iceberg, but Judge Jesus is an ally to those who give themselves up and let him change them. My advice is to make it easier to give yourself up. Don't set out on a slippery slope - it'll just be harder to extract you from the mire later.

Are you a penny pinching, downtrodden evicting slumlord? There are so many opportunities to create wealth and benefit humanity at the same time; why not do that instead?

I voted no, because you shouldn't feel guilty if its within the system. Hey if you can bend the system into your will good on you but lookout for opponents that can do the same.

Well, then if later on down the line in your life that bad bitch known as Karma takes a big bite out of your ass then you'll only have yourself to blame. Whether, or not you believe in Karma there is balance in the Universe, and what goes around comes around.

I personally think that you're just trolling, and trying to trigger people. People who really do what you claim to be doing never stop to consider the moral implications of their actions, because they're psychopaths. There are many psychopaths who work in finance and in big business.

The OP is no different than any other big corporation.
Why are people acting like it is so bad and unusual? It would be like if a young woman said, "I want to date a disgusting criminal just to piss of society and my parents". Like how would THAT be unusual?

I sure do not care for how business causes many to suffer or deal with complete bullshit but it is the norm.

Hahaha. This guy is full of shit. You make money by making people feel better in the short run. This is the common theme of credit cards (legal loan sharking), restaurants, liquor, medical care, hiring lawyers, buying medications, spending too much on new cars and vacations, drug dealers, prostitution, porn, the lottery, tobacco, etc. It's all about feeling good in the short run.

Consider the people that make others feel bad in the short run like cops, teachers, IRS auditors. Do they make any money? Fuck no. The OP is so full of shit it's laughable.

I started my financial strategy at age 22 by investing in the SP500, reinvesting dividends all the while. It's the easiest 8% compounded return I ever got. In this way, you own a share of the economy that keeps people working and feeling good. Now after long last, I'm a cheap ass with $1.4M. I'm afraid the last laugh belongs to people like me, not people like the OP.

What is SP500? We have now touched upon an area in which I have no expertise.

The Standard & Poor's 500 stock indexed average. It is a broader measure of American stocks than the Dow Jones Industrials which is based on only 30 stocks. The main low cost Exchange Traded Fund that includes these 500 stocks has a ticker symbol of SPY. The annual maintenance fee is .08%, or $8 on every $10000 invested.

I suggest buying this at Fidelity.com. It costs only $4.95 per trade whether you buy $100, or $1,000,000. Go to fidelity.com to learn more.

Yup, our boy Gomez. He looked a little creepy, but actually he was a decent good person. (I try to judge people by their actions, not by their appearance, or what they say.)
