My female friend gifted me a dead cat.

My female neighbor is a little kooky, but she's the only female friend I have.

we've been friends since childhood and she's pretty normal for the most part.

but today she gifted me a stuffed cat. I opened it and stared at it.. then I stared at her with a questioning look;

she just smiled and gave me a hug , then she ran away giggling and blushing.

I am very confused,

what does this all mean, and is this common behavior for girls?(not the dead cat part, but running away giggling after gifting people)
