My dreams sometimes predict misfortune.

Ever since I was young I have had slight control over my dreams do to the fact I have night terrors and had to learn how to avoid them. Now despite the control dreams slip through the cracks and emerge but these dreams are different. I dream that someone I know that is close to me dies and I awake the next morning and find out that they have. I have deja vu a lot and my family has known psychics in it but most of them are women. I ask is it normal to have dreams like this?
