My dog bit me for accidentally touching his butt

Is it normal for dogs to dislike touching that area? I was just giving him a bath and a finger accidentally brushed against his butthole... it went in maybe about half a centimeter. I wouldn't even say it went in.

    I wash my Siamese cat all the time, and of course I wash his bunghole too, but never have I nor would I ever violate my best friend. There's no such thing as accidental!
