My dad's pronounciation

I was inspired to ask this by the "syrup" question below mine. My dad has a very strange pronounciation of words ending in "-or", like "mirror" or "horror." He pronounces them as "meer-uh" and "horr-uh", while my pronounciation is more like "meer-er" or "horr-er".

How do you pronounce them?

meer-er, horr-er 14
meer-uh, horr-uh 4

Typical southern accent for anyone over 35.

His accent seems pretty distinct from the southern accent in my area, but then again he is much older

            The older the thicker.

This actually sounds like a British accent.

I wish I could convey how it sounds to you... I just noticed it because he was talking about the play "Little Shop of Horrors" and he pronounced it as "Horruhs." It was quite a distinct pronunciation.

That's kind of what I meant with the first option. The second option is a very distinct "-uh" at the end.
