My dad did this for chistmas...

Me and my siblings grew up in an abusive household but there is one christmas I will never forget. We had been asking our father, a vey abusive and borderline psychotic person, for a puppy for weeks before christmas, if we asked too much he would beat us with a pair of jumper cables because he couldn't even afford to pay the electricity bill how could we afford puppies. Well, christmas came we saw two boxes under the tree, one long and thin, the other... the perfect size!! it even had air holes in the top! imagine, out childish glee, the smiles on our faces, the magical moment we realized we where getting an adorable puppy of our own. We couldn't hear anything in it though, and when we opened the box there was the puppy, lying on its side, decomposing after weeks of being dead, presumably from the terrible gash in the side of it's head. Our father told us to open the other box, and it was a shovel. He made us bury it in the backyard, he said the gift he gave us was a lesson, and that we would remember that lesson for the rest of our lives, that life is unfair and you'll never get what you want, is that normal?

No it's not normal at all. If you are a kid you should talk to some authority or your teacher about it.
I feel sorry because this happened.
