so i grew up with this guy that i call my cousin. we are not blood but the whole family acts like he is because my aunt raised him. in 2007 we became really close and we starting hanging out everyday. i have had thoughts about him and i have had like a crush on him since i was younger but i never thought anything would happen. like 8 nights ago we went out and i got a little tipsy well he made a joking comment when we were dancing and said "i wonder what you have that every guy wants" so i was like "Maybe one day you will find out" and thats where it began. that night i was taking him home and i went into his place and we made love.. since then we have been texting 24/7 and hangin out a lot. We both love each other and want be together but we have to hide everything from the family because we know that they will flip out. is this normal?? what do i do??

    I would come out with it. It's not blood relation. The taboo with incest is due to the human physiological aspect; so many things biologically reject the notion of being attracted to a relative. This is different. You were just raised together. These things happen. So, first make sure you all are serious. And if it is serious and more than just a fling or lust; then come out with it with the fam.

    this is a love story that they need to make a movie out of, i envy you, for one your not blood, so its not like your inbreeding, and 2 you have the best of both worlds, you have a partner that has the family qualities without the family blood, you guys need to get married and tell the rest of the family to kiss your bums and start banging eachother more often, mad props to you guys!! i think this is quite normal, dont be so shy about it tell your family.
