My cat eats spiders and cockroaches should i be worried

My mom is a hoarder and we have a lot of roaches and spiders. I catch my cat sometimes eating spiders and cockroaches, sometimes swallowing them, sometimes spitting them out in my lap or on my feet chewed up but still alive

Ah yeah dont you think you have more pressing matters besides your cat eating bugs? Hording until your house is infested with bugs is a major health concern for you and your mother.

Your cat should do just fine. When it regurgitates the bugs it's just offering you a gift bounty for feeding and taking care of it. The bugs are ironically more nutritious to your cat by the way in the means of protein. I've seen cats devour big ass rats and birds, petty insects should do nothing to the cat. Cats are closer to their natural state then dogs are.

It won't do the cat any harm. Some of the stuff they eat may have worms though so just make sure you're keeping up with her worming treatments.

Aren't cats carnivore? You should be worried if your cat turned vegetarian or vegan. Otherwise, it's completely normal.

It's actually more efficient for the cat to eat insects protein wise. Insects have a extremely high protein to mass ratio.
