My brothers obssesed with internet

Hi all, I have two younger brother and they're really annoying. They have a really huge obsession with the Internet. Thats really pissed me off. That day our house got black out and our wifi modem have shutted down. You know what my brothers be like? They keep cursing about the black out, about electrical technician didn't do their job etc. I got angry and I said to them like this "THIS IS JUST FOR A WHILE. CAN YOU TWO JUST BE PETIENT? INTERNET ARE GONE JUST FOR A WHILE AND YOU ACT LIKE A CRAZY PEOPLE!". I really really got angry with them I mean we can do many things without use the Internet. We can do our hobby etc. I know a lot of people this day really needs the Internet but when Internet just gone they act like a uncivilized people. My brothers only use the Internet to play game, they always shout with each other even when they play game face to face. I really can't stand it...

  I'm not sis, I'm their older brother.... I'm not annoying actually I'm a very quite person. The problem is they make me disgust a lot. It like their live is NOTHING without the Internet. This type of person really make me pissed off a lot y'know. I can leave them alone but since their live in our house, shouting with each other, doing annoying things... I really can't stand it

    Well everyone uses internet but if it's too much then turn the wifi off or throw it away.
    The way you are describing them they looks normal but you are the annoying big brother I guess.

I completely understand, I am in the exact same situation. I have two younger brothers and they are both obsessed with the internet. They are always in their rooms playing a game or on netflix or on youtube. It's getting pretty bad. They get mad when they have to go out of the house, even then they are on their phones the entire time.

Yes my parents gave them smartphone when they just 6 years old and they didn't control it. It make it worst. When they lose their game they will shout "FUCK" and you know what? My parents didn't care anymore. I think thats the reason. it can be very very hard to give them other hobby other than Internet because we didn't control it. I regrets. Its all too late now.

I wonder what they would have done if they were born in my era? TV with two channels and black and white, grainy. Radio, board games, swimming at the beach, tobogganing in the winter, bicycling to get where you want to go, walking or hitch hiking in the winter to get anywhere. No cell phones, rotary dial and before that was no dial at all. You had to wait for the operator.

We survived. But if you took a kid from our era and dropped them into my era they would be fucked!!!

  Yes people in those era have many good things to do. They can go outside playing on the beach etc. Same as me when I was kid I don't have smartphone and I don't what Internet is until I'm 13 years old. My parents didn't buy me a smartphone but my brother, alk things they want they get it..

They sound fine, other than the loud cursing, and yelling while playing games. All they need is to learn to stfu.

Maybe controversial, but I don't think you should've tattled on your little bro for having his fun. I started watching hentai at around that age, and I'm fine.

.. Contravertial suggestion first..

Join them..

Play some games with them for a while..

The only reason i suggest this is you will be showing an interest and "bonding" so to speak. They will see this and will respect you more.

This will then help when you ask them to keep it down when they play. They will remember the respect and quiet down for you.

They probably don't do that at the moment because it may seem that you are demanding rather than asking.. Especially if they are young.

Used to be obsessed with the internet when I was a kid. Just like your brothers I wasn't using it for anything important what i can say is YES it's considerably normal CUs it's common. In my case I grew out of it cus I lost interests in games and that took awhile cus the internet's full of them. What I can say is.. Taking away their devices will not stop their addiction, trust me. Just hope that they somehow lose interest in games and grow bored of the internet... Might take some time.

  I hope it so. Besides one of them have a addiction for Internet porn. He watch it very quitely and while he watch he rub his p*nis. I told it to my parents but they don't believe me because he just only 7 years old. Lets pray together for their good...

    I know this one trick you can do. When he isn't using his laptop/phone/ipod just block the porn that's sure to get him out of it. What were you expecting? Sooner or later he was bound to come across porn. Even better just block all the flash games. I know they wouldn't like it but who cares really..

I'd switch off the wifi until they learn that there are fun things to do in the real world, if I ever have children they're going to hate me.
