My brother just offered my chewing tobacco.. is that normal?

My brother offered me chewing tobacco, and I took it!! It was discusting.. Now he is trying to get me to do other drugs that are worse..I refuse to take them, but he still insist that I try. What do I do? How do k make him stop? (remember he's my brother, I love him. I don't want to have to do something to never be able to see him again.)

Chewing tobacco? Is your brother from the 19th century?

You don't have to do anything you don't want to do, no matter how insistent he is.

Sounds to me like your brother is a bully and a control freak. Just say no. It is that simple. Tell your parents! JUST SAY NO! Walk away.

I think a lot of people don't understand is that your brother is almost like reaching out to you. He wants to share a connection with you. In a non good way. It's almost like bonding, but dont do drugs. Tabbacco is fine, as long as your 18, as I'm sure your old enough to understand the risk to it. It's ultimately up to you. Just be smart about it

    "Drama queens?" Present

But seriously, your brother sounds like a bit of a bully. Just make fun of him for chewing and doing those things you don't want to do. I find being pretentious and condescending towards siblings usually makes them leave me alone. At least it worked with my older siblings.

Thanks puppy-ray, *rolls eyes* but I never stated that trying chewing tobacco just once would result in cancer. My statement was that chewing tobacco was in fact, a big deal.(big.z) And then I went into explaining it's causes never saying anywhere in my comment that it come's from doing it one time. However, any person with a little common sense know's that you wouldn't try it anyway because, it could become an addiction if you use it more then once. And the person who wrote this story might be young, which could mean they're vulnerable, and naive enough to do it again. So it's alway's good to point out the long term effects as well.

You do not get cancer from trying chewing tobacco just once. *rolls eyes*

Just tell him, "bro, I love you but I don't want any drugs, and if you really loved me then you wouldn't try to make me try them. I love hanging out with you, but drugs aren't my thing. Please respect that."

If he still tries to make you take them, then you will just have to accept the fact that he despreatly want you to take the drugs for some reason. Ultimatly it's your decision weather or not you take the drugs, and you can't blame him if you do.

Chewing tobacco is a big deal! It can be the cause of gum cancer as well as stomach cancer. My advice is for you to grow a backbone, and next time tell your brother no, and anyone else who ask's you. And if he tries to force you, still say no! He sound's like trouble to me.
