My brain doesn't work after the effects of alcohol wear off - iin?

After I drink alcohol, whether it's a lot or just one beer, I don't get physical get hangovers, but I definitely get mental hangovers. My brain just doesn't function right, my thoughts trail off, I'm not even sure how to describe it really. Even though it's probably hard to tell, I had a beer earlier, and now I can't think straight. It's taking me forever to type this out in a way that makes sense, if I tried to say it out loud right now I wouldn't be able to. I wanted to comment on some other people's stories but as soon as I started typing I just couldn't find a way to express my thoughts, and normally I'm very good at that. I still don't feel like I'm doing a good job of describing what I mean. Simple tasks suddenly seem impossible. IIN?

That's what alcohol does. It fogs the mind after the fact. The key is to stay sober so the mind may become clear once again.

I am exactly the same!! Mental hangovers rather than physical.

There's a simple solution to the problem you are describing. You know what it is. You probably won't do it, but you know what it is. What other answer did you expect?

    • The solution is to stop drinking. But I wasn't asking for a "solution" I was just wondering if this happened to anybody else
