My boyfriend sleeps with a teddy bear everynight

It was valentines day, and my boyfriend got me a giant 40 dollar Teddy bear so i bought him a bear that I could afford. It was about 20 bucks and it was an average size bear. But ever since I gave it to him, he's been sleeping with it. He embraces it like it was me. At first I thought it was cute but after like a week it got old and looked a lil creepy. He's 18 and I dnt think anyone wud expect him to sleep with it. And no he's not gay or anything. He plays football soccer better then most 18 yr old guys. Works out, runs but yet a Teddy bear. I'm kinda jealous now >=(.
Is he normal?
How do I tell him to stop....

    You sound very immature sorry. I know it's harsh, but you give him something as a GIFT to remind him of you, and then you feel pressure from stereotypes and want him to stop. Would you not love a necklace he gave you? Or if he got you a car? Cars are manly? You wouldn't be a man though for driving it? Why do you have to list all those "manly" things he does - are you trying to convince yourself? You sound very shallow and naive.

    You need to relax and let him have his bear. Having something there, especially something of you, will be comforting. Why give it to him if you're just going to be immature and freak out about it? Quite frankly I wouldn't have it because I wouldn't want a girlfriend like you.

      I agree! Let the guy have his bear, I gave my ex bf one before and I ended up taking it home with me...

      So you are lucky and should cherish the fact he likes his bear!

    My girlfriend gave me her Teddy Bear from her childhood and I sleep with it. But of course we are long distance and it smells like her and I miss her a lot.

    I wouldnt sleep with a teddy bear though you gave it to him so he surely thinks about you when he sleeps with it... Put some of your perfume on it!

    Did you already talk to him? Maybe he didnt get enough love when he was little so he just wants to be that boy again?!? Hard to say without knowing him.
