My boyfriend, 20 lives with his single mother and shows her much more attention than me. He always cuddles her, kisses her, asks her how her day was, asks her opinion on everything but ignores me until she’s in bed and gone to sleep. I have recently moved in with my boyfriend and his mother and it really bugs me. She’s so needy of his attention asking him to come tuck her into bed, kiss her, do favours for her and he does all of this even though he is 20 and she’s 48!!! He will completely ignore me whilst he’s with his mum and will sit with her all night leaving me on my own. Is this something I should be angry at or am I being pathetic??

    2. That's his mom. Why the hell are you competing with his mom!? I get women are competitive with each other and all that annoying shit, but this woman raised him alone, and you think you should be above that?

    3. End the relationship if you find his love for his mom annoying. I'm sure he can find another woman who wont be so uptight about it.

      He asked me to move in with him, I pay his mother £200 a month and buy all of my own food. She didn’t raise him on her own and I’m certainly not in competition with her as she is a lovely women. I just feel their relationship with eachother is extremely close. I’m sure if you had a boyfriend/if your boyfriend asked you to move in with him to then ignore you for his mother you’d be weirded out to.

        My boyfriend and I currently live together alone (he moved in with me). I would never move into his mom's house, even if he asked, I would say no. Personally, I feel it's like going backwards, you're moving, yet you're not progressing because the bills are still on a parents' name.

      Actually a mother and son having an affair is also a criminal act everywhere as far as I know, although I think that's somewhat ridiculous if they're both adults.

    Unless homeless and orphaned (no family of your own), moving into a partner's parents' house isn't a good idea for many reasons.

    "Single mother," so she either raised him alone or recently single. It doesn't matter if she is a victim or not, that's his mother. Whether he's a mommas boy or not, the girlfriend can't fix nor change him and it would foolish for her to try. At the end if the day he loves his mom and she knew this before she moved in.

    So we agree, Op need to find another guy.
