My boyfriend said he loves me "as a person"

We've been dating for 5 months and we've never told eachother we love eachother yet. But he has been saying things like "I love everything about you" and has been using the word "love" a lot more frequently lately. Last night he said he loves me as a person. Does that mean he loves me but he's just not IN love with me? Or is he just too scared to say I love you? I already know he cares about me a lot and that I'm the most serious girlfriend he's ever had. What does he mean?
Edit: we have a good sex life and we hang out almost every day. He's made it very clear he doesn't think of me as a friend or anything near that

Try talking to him about it. Or just ask him if he loves you

    Ask him what it means.

It means he is disgusted with your appearance.

That means that he will dump you if you turn into a four dimensional being

Honestly i say i like someone as a person when i'm not entirely comfortable letting them think i'd have sex with them yet or at all but i still want them to know i care about them in some way.
It's probably just something along the lines of not being comfortable saying the words...

Assuming when you say "dating", you mean you're in a sexual relationship with the guy, could it be that he's saying it's about more than just sex for him?

    What do you want?

Most likely for him to say "love" after 5 months of dating you means he's just infatuated. However, you don't seem bother by how fast he said it, just the way he said it. What do you want to hear? He's no mind reader, why not talk to him about it.

I want to know how he feels. And what do you mean by "after five months"? From my knowledge most people tend to fall for eachother around the 6 month mark, so I really don't understand what you mean by it being too early. I can honestly say I'd probably leave my boyfriend if he didn't say he loved me after more than 7 months. I don't want to be in a relationship that I feel is going nowhere and isn't serious.

It's about learning the fundamentals of romantic relationships and how they progress. I neither believe in love at first sight, nor do I think anyone can love someone in a short amount of time. To love someone means to know that person inside and out, from what's exciting to the boring trivial nonsense that can be somewhat annoying or cute. Love is in the actions you take, and not just the words you say; so for those truly in love do not have to hear it all the time to know it's there. Basically, love develops with acceptance and deep understanding of who you're with.

As hard as it is to believe, you two don't love each other; at least, not yet. Right now, he's just infatuated with you, which can feel intense. Take things slow, talk to each other more instead of asking strangers/friends, and try to build a trust and understanding, so you don't have to leave him over stupid shit like not hearing, "I love you," after 7 months.

Sounds like a comfort zone thing. Just let things happen on their own. It wouldn't hurt to fuck his brains out either.
