My boyfriend raped me

I know I shouldn't still be with him, but he did it when he was on cocaine. He stopped doing the drug a long time ago, and feels really bad for what he did. He isn't very stable emotionally or mentally, and his brain reacted badly to the drug. My question is, is it normal that I start sweating and shaking when I hear about or see people doing cocaine? I get pale and cold... It's like I think that the drug abused me, not my boyfriend.

    I do not think that him having been on cocaine is really an excuse for it. I've done a number of drugs and none of them have ever taken control of my overt actions. So, seriously, I cannot imagine that any chemical would actually cause someone to commit rape. This is however, a common justification that rapists use for their actions (e.g. blaming it on drugs or alcohol)

    but your bf was the ONE who bought the drug, put it in HIS mouth, and raped you.

    The drug did not rape you. The way you put it, you are totally defending your bf and saying he should not be responsible for his actions.

    So you must think that people who murder while they are on drugs are innocent too? Because it was the drug that did it???

    You should have been gone a long time ago, even if the break was temporary. You need to look after yourself because your bf certainly is not the knight in shining armor...he's on crack.
