I'm 26 (female) and my boyfriend is 28. We have been together for over a year and he is wonderful. He is the sweetest and most loving person I've ever met, and he treats me so well. We share so many views and we are both somewhat introverted.

I'm a bit perturbed because be has a lower sex drive than me. We have usually done it around once a week, sometimes more. But lately it has been a bit less often, and I almost always have to initiate it. There was one time when he was super assertive about it, and it really turned me on. 95% of the time though, I initiate sex. My boyfriend is into BDSM (he is very submissive and he likes when I'm dominant).

Is it normal his sex drive seems a lot lower than mine? He enjoys sex when we do it and we both always orgasm. I just want him to initiate it without me asking or starting it! But perhaps it has to be that way, because he likes being submissive. Should I just bite the bullet and dominate him more often to arouse him? That seems like the best option, since it would benefit both of us.

    Tell him you want him to be a man and be forceful. If he doesn't want to take control ask him why he lost his nut. If it is from normal things like stress, and work, and ex shit, give him a break. If he is a pussy, find a new man.

    My old man is my best friend. We're compatible and complete each other. But he's the same way(minus the submissive business). We've been together for four years and either I tell him to fuck me or I fuck him. I think the worst thing would be a lack of communication. It's agreed my sex drive is too much and his is too lacking. But would I leave him over it? Hopefully not.

      Thank you. I spoke with him about it and he says he's glad we can discuss it together. He said we can work on ways to do it more often. I also hope that lack of sex wouldn't be the cause for breaking up! We are compatible in every other way.
