My boyfriend has asperger's but can't get enough of physical affection

I've been dating my boyfriend for a year now and before we were in a relationship but after I had fallen for him, he came out and told me he was autistic. My mom didn't even believe me because he seems to lack autistic tendencies. He laughs and jokes with my family, plays with my nephews, and can't get enough kisses, cuddles, snuggles, ect. 70 percent of the time we're together we're touching. Not only that, but he makes a lot of money as a photographer and loves raves. With loud music. And he is very romantic. I never forget I'm loved. Is he just not very severe or is aspergers really hard to spot in general?

    OPs bf is probably the first person she knew with aspergers. There's no reason for everyone to be rude to her. That's why I don't post questions anymore. We're here to give answers to those who need them, not attack others for asking questions. What has happened to our community?

    Now for my answer. OP, aspergers has many different forms and not every symptom applies to everyone. They also vary greatly in personality. The only difference is the way people with aspergers interact and communicate. Like, as another poster mentioned, social cues and what is appropriate in given situations.

      Ikr, every time I ask a serious question all I get are rude answers and dumb insults from braindead keyboard warriors and bullies. :( Is it normal isn't really the same anymore

    Who do you care if he has Asperger's or not? It's a personality trait that doesn't affect him severely, don't define him by it.

      Never defined him by it, actually. Just had questions because I never dated someone with it. It's kinda something new that I'm just learning about. I have ADHD. Guess by stating I have it, I'm defining myself right?

        I have ADD/ADHD too. One symptom is being impulsive and accidentally saying the wrong things. You have to be careful because some things said can lead to others ridiculing you. I'm on your side though because I'm always seeing you get bullied on here and well, I'm for the underdog. Try to be careful how you word your posts from now on.

        I saw on your profile, you just lost your grandfather. Please have my condolences.

    People with Asperger's vary in traits a lot. You will never meet 2 of them the same.

    aspergers is kindof strange. dont let the name "aspergers" or "autism" kill the vibe he gave off before. its hard to even spot somone with aspergers. its always a suprise.

    you're kind of an idiot. being autistic has nothing to do with not wanting affection. it's mostly about not understanding social cues and understanding what is and isn't appropriate.

    i bet you're also one of those people who think autistic people are retarded, lol. do some research.
